Abstract

Network security in a private healthcare institutions is becoming an increasingly important topic as hospitals and clinics rely more on digital systems for storing and transferring data. This paper specifically briefly  addresses the most common threats, including unauthorized access, ransomware attacks, phishing, DDoS, and MITM attacks, focusing on how these attacks work and their potential consequences. The paper also briefly discusses practical protective measures based on Cisco CCNA knowledge, such as network segmentation, AAA systems, security protocols, IDS/IPS systems, and regular system updates. Combining these technical solutions with staff training improves security and reduces the risk of serious incidents.
