Abstract
In modern ICT infrastructure, monitoring and analyzing network equipment performance is becoming critical for ensuring stability, optimizing resources, and proactively addressing potential issues. Gathering and processing parameters from network devices is increasingly demanding, and the value of collected data continues to grow.
The technological basis for telemetry includes the Yet Another Next Generation (YANG) data modeling language, device communication protocol Network Configuration Protocol (NETCONF), and specific implementations like Cisco Model Driven Telemetry (MDT). YANG enables the definition of the structure of collected data, while NETCONF provides secure and automated access to network equipment configuration and monitoring. Cisco MDT offers a framework for collecting detailed metrics from Cisco network devices. These methods are briefly explained in this paper.
